Professional & fun Thai cooking classes conducted in our open-air beachfront cookery school kitchen. Time For Lime is the first and original Cooking School on Koh Lanta Island.
Meet other food enthusiasts from around the world and share the fun of Thai cooking. While wining and dining, listening to good music in a relaxed and clean environment. Since the cooking school is on the beachfront you will also see, hear and feel the harmony of the sea. Enjoy your time - you're on holiday!
Our classes are built around hands-on preparation - you learn by cooking and tasting at your own cooking station. We place emphasis on correct and up to date information for substitutes, where to buy good/fresh ingredients and brands and how to preserve items back home so you can achieve the same delicious taste as you do here.
We adapt for vegetarians and those who do not eat fish or shellfish, as well as those with allergies. Please inform us when booking if you have any special needs.
FOOD AS ART
We believe every meal should be a visual feast as well as a tasty one. Therefore we have a range of plates, bowls and fresh organic materials to experiment with to create your own "food art". This is where you can smile and say, "Wow! Look what I made!"
Your instructors:
Junie has been teaching and Cooking Thai cuisine for 20 years in both Asia and Europe. Her cookbook is out in Norway and a new cookbook is on its way in English. With her extensive passion and knowledge, she has made make sure that you'll go home understanding all the "whys" and "why nots" of Thai cuisine. Mai is Thai, and has been working at Time For Lime for 7 years. She is now teaching classes as well. Everybody loves Mai, with her calmness and great humor. Even though Mai has not been abroad, she has learned to teach how easy it is to make delicious Thai food in your country.
The rest of the friendly staff always get a big round of applause, they are there to make sure everything is in order for you to enjoy "happy cooking".
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Main class: 16.00 - 21.30 (5.5 hours) We have scheduled our main class so you can spend your time at the beach during the day. Later in the afternoon/evening when the weather is cooler, your cooking experience can start.
Extra class: 11.30 - 15.30 (4 hours) This class will only be held if our main class is full. (Usually DEC. 15 - FEB. 15)

Time For Lime BUNGALOWS - A HOME AWAY
We have 9 clean and cozy budget bungalows for those who appreciate a creative, personal and funky atmosphere and who like animals
All Rooms have: Free Wifi, refrigerator, fan, mosquito-net, bathroom hot shower, working desk, small balcony with hammock and benches. 4 bungalows have AC (air-con). A friendly kitty can keep you company on your balcony (if you wish). Free body fitness (walking one or more of the 9 rescue dogs that are still here at Time For Lime). The dogs are kept in an area in the back and are not running around the resort. We have over 30 more dogs at the animal centre.

If you like a little "alone time" in the morning, you'll like it here as you help yourself to your own healthy breakfast consisting of muesli, yogurt (sometimes homemade), fresh fruit, toast, hard-boiled egg, a selection of juices, milk, coffee, tea, butter, jam, and whole wheat bread.
Mosquito coils are available in the rooms and you can refill your drinking water bottles for free, to save the environment. We change bed linen and towels on request for the same reason. The bungalows will be cleaned every 2-3 days. Trash will be emptied every day. Our bungalow guests gets a one-time 200 baht discount on our cooking classes.
The bungalows are suited to 2 people maximum but we also have 4 air-con bungalows that have a small sleeping loft for 1 child over the age of 6. If you're a big family, we recommend two bungalows. They're very near each other.
