“Ya” Lao tong is a professional chef
and master of classical Thai Cuisine, she holds a Diploma of Food
Nutrition (1983) earned after training for two years in the prestigious
Siam Intercontinental Hotel in Bangkok, dessert chef at the Casablanca
Restaurant in Jakarta, Indonesia to chef cuisine at a hotel in Luxembourg
and a food and beverage manager at the Ao Nang Village Resort, Krabi,
Thailand.
“Ya” has now opened the first Thai
Cookery School in Krabi specifically aimed at teaching overseas
visitors the secrets of Thai Cuisine. The school offers both one-day
courses as well as special training opportunities on request
for cooking professionals.
